In the book, “The Richest Man in Babylon,” the city of Babylon was being sieged. They were at war with the enemy.
So everyday the citizens would come up to the guards and cry “are we going to be OK? Are our children safe?”
Each day, more and more guards would die. But they were confident. They would always answer the same thing: “The walls of Babylon will protect you.”
So eventually the Babylons won 4 weeks later because their defense had an extra wall protection. So this is an analogy to your finances… if you have an attack of your finances, then you can always count on your emergency fund. (for example, if you need a new laptop, or your car breaks down).
